Axxess, the renowned Internet Service Provider (ISP), has broadened its offerings by introducing a new array of capped and uncapped fixed-LTE packages, now utilizing Vodacom’s network. This expansion marks a significant milestone for Axxess, which has long provided LTE plans through MTN and Telkom, but only recently, on February 27, 2024, incorporated Vodacom’s packages into its portfolio.
Vodacom, traditionally known for its lack of uncapped packages through its retail business, has now collaborated with Axxess to offer customers a variety of uncapped plans, each tailored to meet different needs and preferences while leveraging Vodacom’s robust network infrastructure.
Among these uncapped plans, customers can opt for packages ranging from R299 to R699 per month. The entry-level plan, priced at R299, offers speeds of up to 20Mbps for the initial 50GB of data consumption, after which speeds are throttled to 2Mbps. For a slightly higher fee of R399, subscribers can access speeds of up to 30Mbps with a more lenient Fair Usage Policy (FUP) of 150GB before experiencing throttling.
Stepping up in both speed and capacity, the R499 package grants users speeds of up to 50Mbps, accompanied by a 300GB FUP. Lastly, the Pro package, priced at R699 per month, provides an uncapped experience with no specified speed limit, though subject to throttling to 1Mbps after 600GB of data consumption.
However, it’s important to note that the actual speeds experienced may vary depending on factors such as LTE router capability and coverage. Axxess recommends the TP-Link MR600 router for optimal performance and offers a discounted rate of R1,499 to customers purchasing one of its fixed-LTE packages. Alternatively, several other routers compatible with the service are available, including models from Alcatel, Huawei, Nokia, and ZTE.
For customers who do not require unlimited data, Axxess also offers capped Vodacom fixed-LTE packages starting from R199. These packages come with data allocations ranging from 25GB to 200GB, with the option to roll over unused data for one additional month after activation.
Additionally, customers have the flexibility to purchase one-off data top-ups, ranging from 2GB to 10GB, at affordable rates, ensuring they stay connected even if they exceed their allocated data limits. This comprehensive range of offerings underscores Axxess’s commitment to providing diverse and flexible solutions to meet the varying needs of its customer base.
