How to get Vodacom PUK Number

A PUK, or personal unblocking keys code, is a unique sequence of eight digits that you might be asked for when: You want to use another SIM card in your phone, orYou’ve entered the wrong PIN on your phone too many times

Your PUK code is the 8 digit number found on either the SIM or the additional SIM packaging.
If your SIM card is protected by a PIN code and this code has been entered incorrectly multiple times, the SIM card will be blocked. You will require a PUK code to unlock the SIM card again. To get the PUK number for your Vodacom SIM, you need to take the following steps;

  1. If your phone has already been locked, you can use the My Vodacom portal to retrieve your PUK. If you don’t have an account, you will need to register first. Once logged in, click on Device and SIM. You will see your PUK under SIM.
  2. Another option for getting your Vodacom PUK if your SIM is already locked is to dial 082 135 from another Vodacom phone. That number is toll free. Follow the voice instructions to retrieve your PUK.
  3. In the event that you need to see your PUK but your phone has not been locked, you can use SMS to retrieve your Vodacom PUK number. Simply send a message with the word VPP to 31050. Do this from the phone on which you wish to see the PUK.
  4. Another option if your phone has not been locked is to use USSD. Dial *135# and go to Services. From there, select PUK Number.
