Sony Mobile has announced the South African pricing of its new mid-range Xperia smartphones.
The company unveiled the three new smartphones in January, with all the devices boasting improved specifications and high-end cameras.
The mid-range smartphones are the:
Xperia XA2 – R5,599
Xperia XA2 Ultra – R7,999
Xperia L2 – R3,499
Sony said the smartphones will be available in South Africa in April 2018.
The announcement from Sony follows the launch of its new flagship phones, the Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact.
Xperia XA2
Price – R5,599
The Xperia XA2 boasts a 23MP rear camera which supports 4K video recording and 120fps slow-motion capture.
The device sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor.

Xperia XA2 Ultra
Price – R7,999
The Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra sports the same powerful 23MP camera as the XA2, along with dual front-facing cameras.
The device features a 6-inch display and a larger battery than the standard Xperia XA2.

Xperia L2
Price – R3,499
Sony’s Xperia L2 smartphone has a 5.5-inch HD display paired with a 3,300mAh battery.
The device includes a 13MP rear camera and 8MP wide-angle front camera.
